Tip:
Drag a building card from the left onto the map to place it. Drag a placed building to relocate it; the ghost turns red when the spot is invalid (off-map, overlapping, or off-expansion).
Click an orange "+" tile to unlock that 4×4 expansion. The settlement has a fixed irregular shape — you start with 12 unlocked expansions and can unlock up to 41. To undo an unlock, click ⊟ REMOVE EXP. in the toolbar; owned expansions get a red ✕ overlay (must be empty of buildings). Esc exits remove mode.
Click the × on a building to delete it. Click the ⓘ on a building to see its yields, efficiency rank within its category, and build cost. From the info panel you can also FIND ON MAP (highlights every other building of the same type) or DELETE just that one.
Add custom buildings via the form on the left — set name, size, category and production values. Stats update live.
Click a placed building to select it. Shift/Ctrl/Cmd+click toggles a building in or out of the selection. Shift+drag from empty space marquee-selects an area. Ctrl/Cmd+A selects everything; Esc clears.
With buildings selected, drag any one of them to move the whole group together. Arrow keys nudge the selection by 1 cell; Shift+arrow nudges by 4 cells (one expansion). Bumping into an edge or another building stops the nudge as far as it can fit.
Find on map: click a palette card to highlight all placed instances of that building, or type in the "Find on map…" box above the palette tabs to highlight by name or category. / focuses that search input.
Open 📚 LAYOUTS in the toolbar to save a snapshot of the current map under a name, load it back later, or compare two side-by-side. The Compare tab also draws a visual diff showing what changed between two layouts — green for additions, red for removals, with a frame around buildings that were swapped in place.
From the LOAD tab, click SHARE next to any saved layout (or SHARE CURRENT MAP at the top) to copy a link. Anyone who opens the link sees a banner asking whether to load it. No accounts, no backend — the layout rides in the URL itself.
🧮 CALC plans resource requirements for a list of buildings without committing them to the map. 🛠 MC BOOST sets your main-city contribution to the production formula and to actions/hr.
Click ◫ SPLIT in the toolbar to open split mode: two settlements live next to each other so you can sketch a variant against your current build without losing it. Pane B starts as a duplicate of pane A — start mutating it to compare.
The pane with the gold EDITING tag is active — drag, palette, calc, undo all target it. Click the other pane to focus it; the tag and ring move with focus. Selection clears on focus change because it referred to the previous active pane.
The banner at the top compares both panes live: euphoria tier, coins, supplies, and actions per hour, with deltas (B − A) in the centre column. Green for "B improved", red for "B regressed", muted dot for unchanged.
Click Exit split mode to leave. If the panes are identical you exit silently; otherwise you'll be asked which pane to keep — the other is discarded. Main-city boost and the saved-layouts library are shared between panes (one player has one main city).
The ledger is hidden in split mode — the comparison banner replaces it.

Boosts from your main city (Great Buildings, special structures) add inside
the QI production formula:
total = base × (productivity + qi_bonus + main_city_boost)
Coin/Supply boosts apply per building via the formula above.
Actions/hour adds flat to the settlement total. The game also grants a baseline 5,000 actions/hour automatically.
Action Capacity adds to the baseline of 200,000.
